I’m passionate about
doing good in the world.
IN FACT, I’M SO PASSIONATE ABOUT DOING GOOD...
...that I can forget to eat, shower, and/or workout.
...that I can forget to talk to God, listen, and seek Spiritual wisdom.
...that I can find myself striving and wondering, “Why did I start doing good in the first place?”
The more I try to be good,
do good, and spread good,
the more I find that I’m not
quite as good as I once thought.
SO, I STRIVE MORE. I CHURCH MORE, HELP MORE, GIVE MORE, AND ENCOURAGE MORE, ONLY TO FIND MYSELF BURNT OUT.
I work to be GOOD.
Then, I find I’m BAD.
I scold myself for being BAD.
And, finally, I embrace the REAL.
I am human. Who knew?!
This vicious cycle does not have to be. There is a better way.
A better me exists. A me who does good, but is not weary from it.
I’LL TELL YOU THE SECRET THAT HAS TRANSFORMED MY LIFE.
When I center my life in the Holy Spirit, I’ve found
God can do in and through me what I cannot do in and of myself.
I hope as you read this that you feel encouraged.
God can do in and through you what you cannot do in and of yourself.
You can be and do good, all while being spiritually and physically healthy.
I’M A CHRISTIAN, WIFE, MOTHER,
AND MULTI-PASSIONATE ENTREPRENEUR.
My family really doesn’t fit any conventional molds. After eight wonderful years of marriage, my husband and I chose to start our family by adopting our two beautiful sons from Ethiopia, then last November we had our biological daughter. They are my three little treasures and my husband is my best friend.
I’m also a professional… spin instructor (where I summon my
inner Jillian Michaels), social entrepreneur (click here to learn about
Eurasia Coffee and Tea), and consultant (click here to learn about
Do Good Business). I’m living proof that Christian women do not have to be cookie cutter.
In trying to figure out how to balance my multiple passions, I turn to the Bible for answers. I’m not a theologian, but I will share with you as I learn.
I’ll be real and honest as we go. So, don’t expect “church lady” answers and get ready for some oh-no-she-didn’t giggles. Whether you’re a student, an artist, a stay-at-home mom, or a professional do-gooder on the rise, welcome to my good, bad, @@real life!@@
